When you arrive…
On your arrival (ideally, between 4.30pm and 6.30pm – or earlier/later by prior arrangement), you are welcome to make tea or coffee and biscuits either in your room or, on summer afternoons, in a quiet corner of our garden …or in our cosy drawing room with its welcoming log fire on colder days.
Our en-suite bedrooms
Our guest bedrooms have top-of-the-range, king-size beds – either double (zip ’n’ link) or twin – with en-suite facilities and luxury double-sized shower. Bathrobes, big fluffy towels, hair drier, shaver point (with heated mirrors so you can always see what you’re doing!), top-of-the-range toiletries and, in case you have forgotten yours, there are spare toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors and emergency sewing repair kits.
Fully equipped
The house is fully centrally heated and each bedroom is equipped with flat-screen LCD TV and DVD player, broadband wireless internet connection, radio alarm clock, tea/coffee-making facilities with home-made biscuits, a selection of books, magazines and other homely touches to make your stay as luxuriously relaxed and enjoyable as possible.
Children and babies
With the exception of babies up to two years old (for whom we can provide a comfortable cot at no extra charge), children over 12 years old are welcome at the normal room tariff. However, by prior arrangement, children younger than 12 years old can usually be accommodated – again, at the normal room tariff. However, a parent or registered guardian would be expected to share a twin-bedded room with their child (see Tariffs).
Pets
Well-behaved and completely house-trained dogs and cats are also welcome by prior arrangement at no extra charge. We have our own young Working Cocker called ‘Rolo’ and a tabby cat called ‘Tom’ who are both well-used to our Visitors.
However, we do reserve the right to charge for any damage caused by a Guest’s pet. Conversely, we accept no responsibility for the loss of or injury to any pet animal in your care. Please see Terms & Conditions.
No smoking policy
We regret that smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house.
